It has been so long since I posted, when my district got Haiku last spring I spent more time on that and neglected my little blog. So I will try to do much better as I share some of the changes going on. After owning a home in North Carolina for 3 years that we were able to visit sparingly we will be making it our permanent home. Good bye Michigan Winters! So dear hubby and I have been diligently looking for jobs and I was lucky enough to find one quickly. I still get to teach kindergarten, yeah. In the meantime, son one graduated from high school and will be attending college in North Carolina too. Son two is adjusting to the changes but not very happy to leave his buddies behind.
I've been able to have a sneak peek of my new classroom and can't wait to get started working on it. Will post pictures as I go, I think I will need to do a lot purging not only of my stuff that I am bringing with me but also from my new classroom, looks like the teacher who left had lots of stuff but I'm excited to try new things with my classroom. The school I will be teaching in has a new principal who hates clutter about as much as I do so at least when I get rid of things, she won't be upset.
I've had the pleasure to email some of the teachers on my new team and they seem wonderful. I'm not sure what I'll do in the winter when I don't have to spend 20 minutes each day helping my kindergarteners put on snowpants, boots, etc.
Here's to an exciting adventure.
